PREMIER Celebrations
Epic Parties and Celebrations
Throughout the years, PREMIER has gone above and beyond to show our employees and their families how much we appreciate them and their hard work. We want our celebrations to be as special as our employees, so we look for unique ways to surprise them with giveaways and celebrity guests.
Jacks Bash 2, 2021
We celebrated five years of the Dana J. Dykhouse stadium and welcomed South Dakota State University students, facility and the entire eastern South Dakota community to Jacks Bash 2. Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band, Fall Out Boy and platinum country star Gabby Barrett entertained the crowd of nearly 20,000 people at one of the biggest outdoor bashes of the year. PREMIER used Jacks Bash 2 to celebrate employees, milestone anniversaries and a successful year coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
PREMIER Rocks On, 2019
How do you recognize 2,300+ employees, 83 milestone anniversaries, the 5th anniversary of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, the 30th anniversary of PREMIER Bankcard in Sioux Falls and the 20th anniversary of PREMIER Bankcard in Watertown? You throw a rockin' party with the Dave Matthews Band. Before Dave Matthews Band took the stage, up-and-coming artist Grace Potter kicked off the PREMIER staff celebration. The party ended with the announcement that every employee received a bonus to thank them for their hard work.
Surprise Party, 2017
Surprise! This all-staff meeting featured a private concert. We gave away a new black Camaro sports car, and then in true PREMIER fashion, our leaders decided to give away one more. Rock stars One Republic and Andy Grammer surprised all our PREMIER employees, as well as CEOs Dana Dykhouse and Miles Beacom, who both were celebrating milestone anniversaries. Sixteen lucky employees received $1,000 cash prizes.
Jacks Bash, 2016
To celebrate South Dakota State University's Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium opening, PREMIER threw one of the biggest parties the school had ever seen. American country sensations Luke Bryan, Little Big Town and Lee Brice performed for a crowd of university employees, students and PREMIER employees.
PREMIER Rocks, 2014
Keith Urban helped us open the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls in October of 2014. The rockin' party was the perfect way to debut the new world-class concert and event facility. The Band Perry set the tone for our PREMIER Rocks concert. We brought the entire PREMIER family together for a night of music, fun and a few PREMIER surprises.
PREMIER Reunion, 2012
When you're bringing the whole PREMIER family together to celebrate, you might as well go big. The PREMIER Reunion in 2012 was filled with good music, plenty of food and fantastic prizes. We gave away TVs, cameras, iPads, and home theater systems to show our appreciation to PREMIER employees. Country music star Jake Owen knocked the socks off the crowd with his hit "Barefoot Blue Jean Night." One lucky PREMIER employee won a new Ford truck. But it didn't stop there. Our leadership team spontaneously decided that it would be more fun to give away three – a red one, a white one and a blue one.
Relax & Rewind, 2008
We called it Relax & Rewind, but we got "Footloose" with singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins. Mr. Loggins rocked the 80s and 90s movie soundtracks with hits like Top Gun's "Danger Zone," Caddyshack's "I'm Alright," and the title track for the movie Footloose.
Laughstock, 2007
You might be a PREMIER employee if… Jeff Foxworthy, famous for his "You might be a Redneck" schtick, had PREMIER employees and guests laughing all night during this redneck-themed party. We suspect the $75,000 in cash giveaways also had something to do with it.
Break the Bank, 2006
Viva La PREMIER! Our Las Vegas-themed celebration in 2006 featured casino-style games, actual Vegas show performers and plenty of cash and prizes. While we didn't break the bank, our employees hit the jackpot when we gave away more than $100,000 in cash and prizes.
The PREMIER Rally, 2005
We revved the engines in 2005 when TV host and comedian Jay Leno headlined The PREMIER Rally celebration. We gave away $20,000 in cash door prizes and donated a custom, Leno autographed Harley Davidson V-Rod to the Sioux Empire United Way for the 2006 campaign.
PREMIERVILLE Summer Shindigs, 2004
The summer of PREMIERVILLE celebrated a job well done. Shindigs were held in Sioux Falls, Spearfish and Watertown. Along with free food, beverages and live music from Kory and the Fireflies, three lucky employees drove home in a new red Ford Mustang convertible.
Mardi Gras "Blow-Out" Celebration, 2002
Sioux Falls JazzFest 2002 was the setting for the "Banking Brothers" (a.k.a. Dana Dykhouse and Miles Beacom) to perform their debut single, "I got the PREMIER Attitude." PREMIER associates enjoyed a free carnival, food and surprise "drum roll" performance from NFL Hall of Famer and Green Bay Packer Bart Starr.
Caribbean Treasure Island, 2002
NFL great Mike Singletary joined the PREMIER Caribbean Treasure Island celebration in 2002, featuring a beach carnival and Captain's Feast on the shores of Watertown's Lake Kampeska.
Halloween Meeting & Contest, Annual
It's never spooky but always a little kooky. The annual PREMIER Halloween staff meeting is filled with characters, skits and tons of PREMIER fun. The tradition started with Dana Dykhouse and Miles Beacom in 1996 as a way to bring a little humor into the fall staff meetings and boost employee morale. The tradition continues and themes change every year. Employees from all our locations also get the opportunity to show their fun and creative side by dressing up and competing for best individual and best group costume.
